Kensler is an American multimedia artist and writer with based in Los Angeles. She spent the last decade living and working between New York City, Nashville, Alabama and Mexico City.
Thunder in the Blank Space, an anti-romance romance novel with flares of fantasy and adventure is currently available via serial release on Substack.
Her painting practice situates itself at an intersection between themes of disembodied mysticism and self-discovery in the natural world. Occasionally using figuration as a tool to place the artist within these planes of thought, she works primarily from the subconscious, as well as calling upon personal histories, dreamscapes, the animal kingdom and folklore.
Beyond canvas and paper, hand built ceramics provide a sculptural outlet for investigation.
